Discounted Interislander Rates

Despite the National comps being the tail end of the peak ferry season, Inter-islander have offered special competition rates:

Car $113.00, Driver $40 total = $153 to cover a week either side of the comp dates, to allow for traveling to and from over the period 10 February – 12 March 17.

A booking is made direct by individuals with Interislander by simply quoting the NZHGPA Membership Booking reference number: FA5650 and showing their NZHGPA Membership card at the check in.

Pilot Registration Requirements

Mark will be sending out an email. You'll need to supply the following information:

• Pilot name 
• Pin number 
• Rating Class competing in Open or Sport 
• Glider make and model, under surface colours 
• Address Contact details 
• Emergency contact Name, relationship, contact number 
• T-Shirt size and number of 
• Meal Option Non Veg or Veg 
• Do you have any medical conditions? 
• Have you got any Allergies? 
• Are you currently on any medication? 

Note: This is being run as a FAI Cat 2 comp and it is recommended that you apply for a FAI Sporting licence.

Entry Fees

Entry Fee for the comp will be $150 before Jan 17 2017, $175 after. We may have to pay the CAA a fee to have airspace lifted over the Paeroa Range.

2017 HQ and Accomodation

The 2017 HQ is moving from the hot springs at Waikite to a campground at Ngongotaha (Rotorua) to be more central to both the Kaimais and the Paeroas, and closer to town.

It will be based at Willowhaven Campground (there's at least one other campground nearby) and Mark has booked a number of camping spots for tents and vans. There are cabins as well. The campground is right on the lake front.
